UHT thermal processing


Complete units for the UHT thermal processing of liquid foods

Sordi manufactures since 1964 UHT Processing plants, plate sterilizing plants UHT Steriplak-S suitable for the production of plain or flavoured milk, cream, puddings, ice-cream mix, milkshake, dietetic products, fruit juice, tomato juice, soy milk, isotonic drink, pharmaceutical products, etc.

All the UHT thermal processing plants are pre-assembled and made with plates equipped with press-in type gaskets ensuring the highest resistance to pressure. The UHT STERIPLAK-S plants usually operate with homogenisers in non aseptic phase and they can be equipped with stabilising holding and degaser.

The actual high heat regeneration obtainable by UHT thermal processing plants (over 90%) allows a very cheap conduction of the plant reducing to the minimum the steam consumptions required for the sterilization. The configuration of the heat exchange cycles ensures a short holding time over 90°C and an extremely reduced wall-temperature such as to definitely ensure low values of lactulose formation and denaturation of the whey-proteins.

The product sterilizing safety is assured by the tested system of controlled overpressure introduced by Sordi in 1974. Different levels of automation of the UHT processing plant are available.

Sordi also manufactures UHT tubular sterilizing plants for the heat processing of milk, flavoured milk, cream, puddings, ice-cream mix, milk-shake, dietetic products, fruit juices, soy milk, isotonic drinks, pharmaceuticals, etc. AlI the UHT thermal processing plants are pre-assembled on platform.

The heat exchanger is a corrugated multitube. Thanks to corrugation, the heat exchange efficiency is increased in a variable percentage ranging from 40% to 90% as regards a smooth surface tubular heat exchanger.

All the UHT STERIPLAK-S plants are milk production plant preassembled and made with plates ensuring the highest resistance to pressure.

STERIPLAK-T tubular

Intermediate storage system for food products to be treated in aseptic conditions, composed of pressurized vessel for the sterilization by steam at 140°C (manufacture according to PED standards), aseptic connection pneumatic valves and automatic control panel.
